When my girlfriend and I moved to Boston in 2019, we knew very few people. We had some old friends living in the city but our roots were mostly fresh. I had been running for about two years prior to moving and losing my running buddies created a hesitation for moving. To my benefit, Boston is one of the greatest running cities in the world. Beyond the Boston Marathon, the city serves as host to dozens of running clubs for all running preferences and personalities.
Whether it be to run farther or faster, running provides an immediate superstore of goals that are waiting to be achieved. For that, running will forever be a part of my life.I run the Castle Island Loop in South Boston, MA. This 1.84 mile loop around Pleasure Bay overlooks the city skyline, hosts incredible sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean and has a consistent stream of airplanes flying overhead.
