You know her as the firebrand who won’t mince a word about the fascist tendencies at work in today’s electorate, who doesn’t shy from exposing the blatant lies told and taught about the Battle of the Alamo, which she sees as a symbol of slavery and white supremacy. She’s a San Antonio political activist whose contributions stretch back to La Raza Unida third party in Texas, which mounted successful campaigns throughout South Texas , and the Chicano civil rights movement.

Joaquin Castro and his twin brother Julián Castro.
