Rodeo Road — not to be confused with Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills — is a 3.5-mile residential street in the predominantly African American Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw neighborhood. The street intersects with King Boulevard, “creating one of the most significant African American points of interest in the country,”Obama Boulevard will further establish a “presidential row” that includes Washington, Adams and Jefferson boulevards.
The President Barack Obama Boulevard festival opens at noon and will include appearances by artists Doug E. Fresh, Yo-Yo, BJ the Chicago Kid and Battlecat. At 5 p.m., Wesson, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Rep. Karen Bass and other city leaders will gather for the street name unveiling.It’s here! Join us May 4 for the Obama Blvd.

Grand jury dismisses assault charge against Army sergeant in road rage caseSgt. 1st Class Kai Waters said she was terrorized, and bumped, by another driver, then stabbed the other driver when confronted at a gas station. The grand jury made the right call. The video clearly shows that the sergeant was not the aggressor and was only defending herself. She should have never been charged IMO I believe I read the Sgt was driving her BMW. I can only imagine what the other woman was driving, but I'd bet it was some beat up car that screamed: 'I've done nothing with my life so my life sucks'! Envy and racism combined = crazy actions.
