Kyle Freeland notched a quality start by limiting the Dodgers to three runs over six innings

The Rockies have the Dodgers’ number, and Kyle Freeland is better than Clayton Kershaw.

“It’s nice to turn the page and change things up, because they’ve kind of dominated us for the past six years,” Freeland said. “And it’s nice to get series wins over them, especially here at home. we get a chance to go for a sweep.” Charlie Blackmon led the way with a four-hit day, while Randal Grichuk and Elias Diaz both had solo homers to also cement the Rockies’ first four-game winning streak against Los Angeles since September 2017 . Colorado also won consecutive series over L.A. for the first time since 2018, and manager Bud Black was pleased with the power contributions from the bottom of the lineup.
