As an experienced action star, Adkins starred as Killa in John Wick: Chapter 4, and he has also appeared in Day Shift, Castle Falls, and American Assassin. He did not appear in Jake Gyllenhaal's latest movie, Road House.
Adkins may not have been a part of the Road House cast, but he does have some problems with the movie. While he is happy to say that he enjoyed the movie, he took to Twitter to reveal his disdain for the CGI fight scenes. Adkins compares the fight scenes unfavorably with Patrick Swayze's version from 1989, while citing his own experience in the action field.
Though annoyed by the CGI, Adkins does acknowledge that CGI can be used well. He uses Johnny Nguyen's low-budget action The Rebel to show that CGI, used sparingly, can be effective. He does not feel like it was used well in Road House.Road House Road House is a remake of the original 1989 film, which followed protagonist Dalton, a Ph.D. educated bouncer at the roughest bar in the south known as the Double Deuce.
