, according to the weather service’s Austin-San Antonio forecast office in New Braunfels. The weather service downgraded an earlier prediction Sunday of up to 3 inches of rain in Bexar County. The chance of rain is expected to fall to 30 percent Tuesday. There’s no other mention of rain in the local forecast through Saturday, although the front will bring cooler temperatures, including a high near 71 degrees on Tuesday and 78 degrees on Wednesday before warming back into the 80s on Thursday and Friday, according to the weather service.
Since Jan. 1, San Antonio has had 2.67 inches of rain — more than 5 inches below normal at this time of year. The city is under Stage 2 water restrictions. Lawn watering with sprinklers is allowed one day a week, as determined by address, from 7 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 11 p.m.
