KEARNY MESA – One Temecula man will depart on April 30 on the journey of running across the United States to raise money for American Indian youth.
Running Man Robert Eilek joined KUSI’s Kacey McKinnon on “Good Morning San Diego” to discuss why he is embarking on this journey. Eilek started running in 1972 before he joined the U.S. Airforce when he saw American long-distance runner Frank Shorter win the Gold Medal in Munich.He has run many marathons before, but this endeavor will be his most ambitious yet., which provides many needed services for Native Americans across this nation impacted by generational poverty.Categories
