Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has been crowned the world’s best at the 2024 World Airport Awards ceremony.Surpassing Singapore’s Changi Airport, a 12-time titleholder, Hamad International Airport, Doha, secured the much-coveted spot for the third time, following wins in 2021 and 2022.
While conceding the overall top spot, Changi Airport retained its position as the best airport in Asia and was recognized as the world leader in immigration services. Seoul’s Incheon International Airport claimed third place, with Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports securing the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Notably, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport won the Best Art in the Airport award, while Terminal A of New Jersey’s Newark Liberty Airport bagged the Best New Airport Terminal title. “This year HIA celebrates its milestone 10th year of operations and we are truly honored that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the World for a third time.
