Public attention turns to Laundrie's parents after his remains found

After searching for more than a month, authorities found the skeletal remains of Brian Laundrie — who was a person of interest in the disappearance of his fiancée, Gabby Petito — and the break in the case came from his parents.Wednesday at the Carlton Reserve, a sprawling Florida wildlife refuge that was Laundrie's last known location. The remains were identified as the 23-year-old man through dental records, the FBI field office in Denver announced Thursday.

David Thomas, who worked for 20 years as a police officer in Michigan and Florida, said it’s likely that Laundrie’s parents made the decision to involve themselves publicly in the search with the direction of their attorney. Bertolino rejected questions about the timing of both parents' involvement in the search during an interview with NBC News Now’s “Top Story With Tom Llamas” following the identification of Laundrie's remains.

Okay….What is the TRUTH? He killed Gabby, ran home to his parents, took the coward’s way out, ran into the swamp and became one with nature. My deepest sympathy goes to Gabby’s parents. The sadness and hurt is real…..😢

The death of Gabby Petito is still so heartbreaking on so many levels, but now that the body of BrianLaundrie has been found, maybe they can finally find some closure. However, this development doesn’t excuse the apparent help that his parents gave him.

I don't believe it. His parents were hiding him taking him anything he needed. Now they're the ones that find everything. After that area was searched over and over and over by the police. Nope I don't buy it I think he's out of the country.

Unless they found his entire skeleton, I am not buying it.

Laundrie's parents should have to pay for all the searches.

The parents …GEEE YA THINK? showing where the remains were one day after a park opens up to the public? In a location that has already been scoured by FBI? Or the fact that they needed dental identification to find out if it was even Brian which means he’s been there a minute

They need to be arrested for aiding and abetting. They 100% helped him avoid arrest.
