Rome Pope Francis has condemned violence against women as an"insult to God" in his New Year's Day homily.
His address to the faithful from the Vatican in Rome during Saturday's mass focused on Mary, the mother of Jesus, as Francis drew inspiration from her delivering her child in a humble manger. "Mary now finds herself in the dark stable of Bethlehem. Yet that is where she gives God to the world. Others, before the scandal of the manger, might feel deeply troubled. She does not," Francis preached.
Women are discriminated in the catholic church. They cannot be priests and basically, their role is to clean up the churches. Dear pope: give the example and make women EQUAL to men in the jurisdiction you control!
This is exactly why religious morality is always flawed. What’s implied here is that someone who abuses someone else would only stop out of fear for a god, not because of the feelings and well-being of the one he is abusing.
He should also condemn CNN for spreading fake news against Ethiopia.

Only took about 2000 years give or take to arrive at that revelation, but it still falls short of the ultimate truth that all people are equal, it is an affront to God to harm any of His children. Violence is only justified in the mitigation, not replacement, of greater violence.
