Pa. school district sent letter to parents after it says man tried to elementary school student there this week: report

“As a school community, the safety of our children is of utmost importance,” the letter reportedly read. “Please remind your children always to be alert of their surroundings. Children should also practice the ‘buddy system’ and always walk with a friend. Please remind your children to never approach strangers.”

The Rochester Borough Police Department is reportedly investigating the incident, and the report said that police will continue to patrol the neighborhoods around the school and security would patrol the school’s campus.
