Organ transplants 'at risk' because of Covid-19

Ana-Rose has lived with hepatitis almost her entire life and is waiting for a liver transplant

Now aged 29, Ana-Rose has lived with hepatitis almost her entire life after contracting it as a baby. Also testing the donor for Covid 19 is too risky, & the results take time so its impossible

I was due to donate my Kidney this month but it was obviously cancelled. Must be so hard for the intended recipients. COVIDー19 organdonation livingdonor

Why should these peoples lives now not matter as much as someone with covid? Yes it’s a massive operation with many risks but an otherwise “healthy” 38 y/o awaiting a new heart probably has more chance of pulling through a transplant op than an 84y/o with cv! EVERY life matters

Perhaps the NHS could assign one hospital in each county as being “non-covid” where vital transplant and cancer surgeries could still be conducted as safely as possible?

COVID-19 crisis heaps pressure on nation's food banksFood banks and pantries across the country are facing a steep drop-off in the bread and butter of their operations: food donated by supermarkets and farms. People are dumping milk at one article and at the other it says butter is in shortage. This is a global crisis time and someone should step up and handle this. Food banks can ask for the milk at least and give it to people who are in need, can't they? The people I see go to a food pantry I was working outside of might have to sell their Cadillacs, Lexus', Hummers and BMW's. Bummer.
