Opinion: Remember when the former Trump adviser supposedly got off easy?

Ever notice how often media stampedes start in the age of Trump, only to vanish without apology or even acknowledgment upon colliding with reality? The latest is last week’s burst of outrage that Paul Manafort’s original sentence of 47 months in prison had revealed the basic corruption and unfairness of American justice.
