From WSJopinion: One piece of President Biden’s news conference that deserves more scrutiny is his positively Trumpian refusal to say that the 2022 elections will be legitimate

One piece of President Biden’s news conference that deserves more scrutiny is his positively Trumpian refusal to say that the 2022 elections will be legitimate. The White House is now trying to walk this back, which is a good sign, but if Mr. Biden is changing his mind, he should say so himself.

, press secretary Jen Psaki insisted Mr. Biden “was not casting doubt on the legitimacy of the 2022 election.” Rather, he was “explaining that the results would be illegitimate if states do what the former president asked them to do after the 2020 election: toss out ballots and overturn results.”

opinion This is the most asinine thing I’ve read today. Never should have been published in any way, shape, or form.

opinion Don’t be too hard. It’s hard to cover up his dementia signs.

opinion What can you expect from a paper owned by Rupert Murdock

opinion Elections do not become illegitimate when more people vote and all the votes are counted. They become illegitimate when voting is suppressed. So nothing is wrong with Biden’s views if it reflects that. But something is wrong with people who refute that.

opinion Always felt the school prom election was “stolen”. Now the contemporary reason when anything does not go your way. Hmmm....what can I use it for today?

opinion Didn’t they tell us that the last election was the most secure?

opinion Perhaps because, unlike Trump, he has good reason to believe they might not be.

opinion If Biden loses he will concede immediately and not go on a 4 year tour of whining, crying, and psychopathic rambling. See the difference ?

opinion Give me a break! Trump made the whole thing up. We are seeing the efforts to be able to usurp the vote every day in so many places. I swear the reporting is like a bad reality show.

opinion Social media will never ban him for spreading false information about election integrity 🌚

opinion WSJ doesn't see the difference in something so simple? Trump's and the GOP's Big Lie vs the reality of voter suppression in Red States. They can't see the difference between Trump's lie and the GOP's Jim Crow laws in states aimed at decreasing the minority and youth vote.

opinion We’ve seen a force that would shatter our nation rather than share it Would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy And this effort very nearly succeeded But while democracy can be periodically delayed it can never be permanently defeated In this truth in this faith

opinion That has to be pretty obvious based on what is going on in battleground states with all the changes to shortest legal votes!

opinion I think he was alluding to the efforts in numerous states to prevent people from voting.

opinion Voting rights are being trampled. Plus, trump snd Youngkin both cheated.

opinion Rupert Murderer errr Murdoch, Only republicans can say elections are illegitimate.

opinion Another idiotic opinion piece from the WSJ.... Trump made repeated false claims of election illegitimacies to provide cover of his potential loss, while Biden made the comment in reference to what might happen without needed election legislation.

opinion The WSJ’s point seems to be that if Trump tried to steal the 2020 election, Biden has to approve in advance whatever Trumpist election authorities end up doing in 2022. I don’t hear Ds making positively Trumpian claims that the only way they can lose in 2022 is through fraud.

opinion Get it right. You can't CLAIM something is 'legitimate' until AFTER the action happens. How does ANYONE know until then. Trump on the other hand is saying the elections was illegitimate AFTER is was shown proven it was legitimate by his OWN party members.

opinion

opinion Kneel

opinion So doubting the election is trademark by Republicans only. They are trying to disenfranchise minorities and they want everyone to stay silent about it. How fresh 🙄

opinion It’s a concern given all Republicans r doing to restrict voting & to make sure that Republicans have a heavy hand in validating what the final totals r. Now that the Republicans have cratered the voting rights bill, it’s clear they will run & report the elections as they see fit

opinion That is not what he said and your headline is trash! Do better

opinion “So the 2022 elections we might lose could be compromised but the 2020 elections that we won were fine”

opinion Would be more trumpian if he sent mobs to burn down state capitol buildings, coerced secretaries of state to 'find' missing votes, forged certifications with phony electors, etc. BoTh sides 🥴
