The stabbing happened just before 10 a.m. in an alleyway behind 25 Hillcrest Blvd., the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Deputies arrived to find a 54-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.The suspect, identified as a Millbrae resident, was found near the scene of the stabbing. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on an attempted murder charge.The sheriff’s office said the victim and suspect knew each other.
“This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community,” the sheriff’s office said.
