Earlier in the night, the Ohio representative slapped a family member in the face, took their phone and threw it into a swimming pool, according to police.

Ohio Rep. Bob Young's official House portraitCOLUMBUS, Ohio — State Rep. Bob Young fell through a glass storm door while attempting to force his way into the home of a family member, where another family member was hiding after Young had assaulted them earlier in the night, according to police.

The details are contained in a police report from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, released to cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer on Tuesday in response to a public records request. Young’s relative who attempted to block Young from entering the house suffered cuts on their arm as a result of the incident, the police report says.
