Police MAY have acted recklessly (waiting for all evidence) but fact remains she died cuz 2 black teens decided to have a gun fight which police responded to. Yet, instead of being charged with textbook felony murder, DA allowed teens to plead down & made cops main targets.
'The violent altercation began with a heated verbal exchange ... following a football game at Academy Park [HS]. All 3 discharged their weapons more than 2 dozen times collectively at a passing car as Bility & her family [&] others leaving the game were in the same vicinity.'
Unbelievably reckless and unnecessary. Do they train police for anything anymore? Or is the only requirement hating POCs

Is there a police department that appropriately trains its officers and makes sure they remain trained? Do any try to weed out the racists and irresponsibly behaving people like these three. Stuff like this isn’t anomalous and hasn’t been for years. It’s just reported/filmed now

But when the US_FDA refuses and delays approval of WHO supported universal inactive vax (COVAXIN_USA ) from receiving EUA for 2 & up, it further increases mistrust I appreciate this but does NPR have any self awareness of the difference in the objective calm way you’re covering this disaster vs the breathless “there’s no good news” coverage of the last admin’s Covid response? Again, if your reporting is not telling people about the extensive GOP propaganda focused on diverting as many people away from science-based mitigation, this is an incomplete assessment. And one item no plan could address.
