The best way to fight Big Meat is by becoming a Big Vegan. Seriously, I think this is why I barely notice the inflation people keep talking about.
Easy fix- Stop eating meat. I did 30 years ago and never missed it, not one day.
Good time to go vegan. There is no need to use any type of meat to make tacos or spaghetti. It's time for this cruel and inhumane industry to go under.
Prices for mass-produced meat should be high to take into account the environmental costs. If possible, people should try to eat meat that is locally produced and sustainably raised.

It’s so easy to not buy meat. We stopped buying it about 6 months ago and I don’t miss it at all. We are not vegetarian/vegan, just can’t stand this industry…

If meat prices have jumped w/o collusion, there is a systemic reason. It's not 'big meat'. Prices too far above the market leads others to sell at a lower price with a lower but acceptable profit...Market forces. If all prices go up, then an external or policy force is in play.

Meat makes up such a small part of my diet that the increased cost doesn’t affect me much. It’s disturbing that the increased price doesn’t help farmers’ net revenue.
We should all eat less meat. If it is more expensive then this will be an incentive to a healthier diet hopefully.

In. southeastern AZ they have been running cattle to auction like crazy, yet this is the big time of the year to send them to market.

NPR Cookie Consent and ChoicesI was lucky. My breakthrough really has been like a medium allergy attack. Only one night of muscle aches. I also went in early enough to get an antibody infusion I haven’t been vaccinated and have been working in a high risk job since the beginning. I did recently get sick…but with renal cancer, had to have a kidney removed last week. Just my luck. Well the good part is you can write about being alive! Without the vaccine you got you maybe would have not been able to write about your experience!
