So NJ joins the states that put trans women with penises in with the most marginalized people in our society - women prisoners. NJHatesWomen
Will they fire officers who refuse to use preferred pronouns? Will they force female officers to pat-down fully intact men? How will they protect the vulnerable women who will be housed with these men?
how do they confirm their gender identity? what process do they need to complete to legally ID as the opposite sex?
As a reminder, trans women are usually attracted to women.
Apparently male prisoners will 'expose themselves' and engage in frequent 'sexual harrassment' and 'physical threats' to the point that you will be afraid you won't 'make it out alive' of prison. So doesn't bringing MtF transpeople into female prisons just put cis women at risk?
And when female inmates start showing up mysteriously pregnant?
Cool, now get rid of all the private prisons
People wanna act like tranagender folks are more of a danger than the guards that are already abusing prisoners. Bigots gonna bigot.
I would be interested to know if there are cases of trans men being in male prisons. They should have their identity respected, but I feel like sending a trans man to an all cis male prison is very dangerous as well
Plenty of male offenders want to stay in women's prisons for an easier time. You don't see the opposite. I'm not aware of any cases of women who identify as trans men being put in a men's prison. They would likely be raped, or have to be in permanent solitary confinement.
Women are losing: In law, in language, in sports, in written communications, transgender rights advocates are negating women’s rights: Women are losing the right to protected single-sex spaces, including public bathrooms, changing rooms, emergency shelters, and prisons.
This means more women will get raped, because they are being housed with intact males (who claim to identify as female). Most trans women keep their penis and are sexually attracted to women. But you only care about victims who identify as trans.
It'd be a lot cooler if we abolished the carcereal system instead.
So if an apple says it identifies as an orange it gets put in with the oranges? And what happens when that apple is foud playing the system?
That is good. However it leaves the question regarding how they will be treat in a woman prison? Will they be given drugs to make them eunuch so they there is no sexual acts in the woman prison between them and the other woman? There are many question the public want to know
something tells me she might have a rougher go of it in the women's prison. Glad this happening. Stay on the story . Don't bail on it when it actually starts being newsworthy.
