And therein lies the problem. Assault weapons should not be legal. And if they continue to be legal then they should be allowed in every politician's office, up and down the halls of Congress and in the offices of the NRA. Because right now they are not allowed. Ironic.
The solution is simple, yet, RepublicansAreTheProblem. We need CommonSenseGunLaws to try and prevent these tragedies- have a waiting period to get a gun, require psychological evaluations, anything!

If he was hospitalized for mental health issues and had his gun taken away in April, he should never have been able to legally purchase more guns in September. Just awful and tragic.
If the parents knew something was mentally wrong with their kid, why didn’t they have him admitted for psychiatric care?

Federal law requires you to be 21 or older to buy a handgun. Indiana 18 or older to possess a handgun. An AR-15 is classified as a handgun due to the lower receiver. Shooter did not buy these weapons from a FFL dealer. How did he get the weapons? how did he get the weapons?
