whyy People would be more accepting of this if they weren't so hell bent on putting it in a residential neighborhood. Put it in a industrial area, no one wants this enabling crap in their neighborhood
As someone who lost her brother to a heroin overdose, I am conflicted about this. I don't want to see anything that enables illegal drug use, but I want safety for others. Really I want everyone off drugs, but I know addiction is so complex. I wish there was a simple solution...
Boston started this year's ago but a little different. Drug users can go to a drop in center if they believe they are at risk for overdose or be dropped of by someone who is concerned of a potential overdose. They can not inject in the facility.
Buffalo would say 'those who can't keep up are vital to the herd when wolves come & take stragglers & strays.'
I’m still on the fence about this. I see the why's and understand some of the logic but my overall feelings of injecting is negative due to personal experience dealing with a friend who used. If the overall presence of them was to get them off the drugs and help I’d be for it.

They should make it legal. If they’re gonna inject anyways better to do it at a place where they’re less likely to overdose and get diseases
Portugal is having great success with similar and making money for their country. Crime is also down. I'm in the middle. Rehabilitation is almost impossible from heroin. Rehab centers make a shit ton of money with little success. Do we just give these ppl their drugs? tough one!
