Just saw you on MSNBC - you are sad. So sorry you are making excuses.

Do you all even understand WHY some Conservatives and GOP are concerned about 'Red Flag' laws? Probably not because that requires acknowledging BOTH sides of an issue. For more info: check out benshapiro. He supports the proposals AND breaks down the concerns.

He finally became a man when his family was a potential victim. What a coward.

Ill believe it when I see it. Politicians are all talk after a shooting, but when the fire calms down, no new legislation is actually enacted.

So, only your child matters. Not all the other children who have died to gun violence. Yay for you. You’re full of it.

Good for him. I hope he .... sticks to his guns.... when the NRA comes at him for their “donations “ back.

Terrible

They always have to wait till it affects them. These people dont understand empathy at all

Playing the political game of lies and manipulation to hold onto People’s trust and seat. To re-Elect or not? All lives matter. nytimes nprworld worldnewsdotcom CNN

Clue: criminals do not follow laws.

He’ll make their “naughty” list next time around.

Kristallnacht wasn’t just about the Nazis. It was also about the silent majority. The majority of people, it was reported, stood by, looked on, and did nothing. The authorities simply looked the other way.

He is finally ready to do something because his daughter was in the area of the shooting. Should have been done long ago.

NRA endorsements. Then: important Now: a joke Tomorrow: the kiss of death

Sad that only 1.3% of the US population are NRA members, yet they dictate the gun laws.

There goes his A+ rating. But he still has a soul so he has that going for him.

He's lying.... Just wants to get reelected.

How brave of him to put his name on this knowing full well it will never reach the senate floor.

Illegals killed 1351 people in Texas in 2018. How about some limits on illegal immigration you frauds? My Rights are non-negotiable.

Now if only the rest of GOP SenateGOP HouseGOP senatemajldr would get smart honest and support CommonSenseGunLaws stop the NRApayoffs

Imagine that—a politician willing to disobey his lobbyist bosses and work for his constituents for a change. There might be hope for this country after all.

2018 midterm?

Yes, expanded background checks are the most you can expect after these senseless tragedies, kind of like passing out paper towels to hurricane victims

Ban automatic weapons.

But will it be meaningful GunReform , or the usual GOP theatrics of doing the least possible in order to appear as though they give a damn?

So it takes a tragedy in his district for him to suddenly see the light. Or is it the heat from his constituents?

Need others to step up and start being part of a solution instead of being dead weight and allowing the status quo continue.

These people have no empathy. It takes a mass shooting near his terrified daughter for him to finally do the right thing. And yet, nothing from MoscowMitch

Well now, sounds like he finally gets it. Military style weapons have no place in the civilian world. Sorry that's my opinion. Also need universal background checks. StopTheViolence

great to see a member from Ohio do the right thing. Hopefully he stays on this path before the NRA changes his mind
