Rapper noname wants you, yes you, to get a library card — and not just for the free books, but for the people who can guide you to them. 'Libraries are here for us and are one of the cool things our government has given us,' she says.

Sulliview noname Npr equals communism

noname Reminder, there is more than just books. You can download audio and e-books and stream movies. My library has free passes to museums and free online access to NYtimes and Consumer Reports and has snowshoes and ukuleles to check out.

prisonculture noname chpublib That’s right!!! Libraries and Librarians rock!!!

noname Yeah, and those government libraries were insurmountably outperformed by better market solutions

noname The government doesn't give us libraries. I gladly pay for my local library through about $60 in property taxes a year. Happy to do it.

noname Having fun isn't hard, if you got a library card!

noname And I just picked up ReadingChallenge2020 from my local library 😍❤️ so far I completed 2018 & 2019 and I read books I never thought I read or had no idea about

noname I love our local library is wonderful. I especially like that our school librarians keep in touch with them and keep them up on what they’re doing in school (reading/projects)

noname fuckamazonday

noname The government doesn't 'give' us anything. She sounds like a cult victim. I say this as a fan.

noname With a library card, you can read or listen to books on your phone with the app, Libby.

noname Do you like consuming entertainment for free? Browsing & discovering new things? Having space to think & create? Get a library card!

noname I already have one.

noname madeNms

noname Get a library card, then go to your phone, tablet, etc. and download Overdrive or Libby. Create an acct, use your library card and now you also have access to all the ebooks / audiobooks that your library has (for free).

noname Yes ma’am

noname One of the best statements I’ve heard this year! Thanks

noname Awesome sauce !!!

noname The government does not give us anything other than bureaucracy and what it has stolen from others.

noname Yeah it's where they bury the lies

noname Libraries were great...before the internet was invented

noname citywhit check this out

noname The library is the cornerstone of our Metro Township. Even a after school lunch program. Our kids had library cards by the age of three.

noname I loved this piece and everything she said about my profession. But still would have liked an acknowledgement that September is National Library Card Sign-Up month. :)

noname Yes. And ask the librarian questions. Reading suggestions based on your favorite topics. Also attend the programs: learn new things!

noname One of the last bastions of democracy.

noname Libraries are fantastic! There is something to be said for holding a book and flipping through its pages.

noname Libraries are wonderful.

noname The poor human’s university. Amen. ForeverGrateful

extra noname Raise your hand if you listen to NPR and you don’t have a library card?

noname Loved this interview! 💖

noname As long as people don't have to show ID. That would be reader suppression.

noname Uh, I haven't set foot in a library for almost a decade.

noname JAEvans21 📚📖

noname That's sounds as a good idea, now let's hear less rap music and read more books

noname Yes.

noname noname getting the recognition she deserves. 👏🏽

NPR Choice pageBarnes_Law So stupid & false..... Barnes_Law It’s on that thin of a line ? Yikes Amazing that we even need to highlight this. I’m not a min wage earner, but imagine how miserable you have to be in the interim before even contemplating suicide without existing mental health issues. Shameful. We can fix this.
