A voting sign is posted outside Brook Hollow Library on Saturday. People voted on the city's bond package, two state propositions on property taxes, school board seats, bond proposals and suburban city council elections.Voters across Bexar County were mostly supportive of school district bonds, approving a nearly $1 billion bond proposal for Northside Independent School District and a $125 million bond proposal for Harlandale ISD while splitting on bond proposals for Medina Valley ISD.

“It was really a lot about tax implications,” Woods said. “Folks started to get their appraisal notices and that became kind of the center point of the conversation.” Woods noted the district had to adjust the bond to plan for higher prices in case inflation continues to be an issue through the construction portion of the bond. If prices were to come down instead, he said the district would simply pay off some of its bonds faster.
