Voters appear poised to approve an almost $1 billion bond package in the Northside Independent School District, according to early voting results. Out of 24,851 early ballots cast, nearly 60% had voted in favor of the $992 million bond issue.

The NISD bond would fund a new $45 million elementary school, $645.5 million in renovations to existing school facilities and $207.3 million in infrastructure upgrades. The district wants to make significant renovations to schools that are at least 40 years old.
