No updates on Jarred Vanderbilt as Lakers’ regular season comes to a close

Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt has been sidelined since early February because of a sprained right midfoot injury and has played just 29 games this season after missing the first seven weeks with a left heel injury. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As the Lakers’ regular season comes to a close, it’s all but guaranteed that forward Jarred Vanderbilt won’t return to the lineup before the team turns its attention to postseason play.

With their main players sidelined, the Grizzlies started two-way players Jordan Goodwin and Scotty Pippen Jr. in the backcourt, rookie GG Jackson and second-year player Jake LaRavia at the forward spots and two-way big man Trey Jemison.
