Before it was a daily topic of the nightly news, we started seeing this on social media, where it became a common thread to post a picture of a meal from a restaurant and complain about how much it cost, or how much less food one was getting for the money. Your author watched this first hand in a popular barbecue group on Facebook, where the complaining became so common that moderators had to step in and put the brakes on any further posting of the topic.
