What is the Rooney Rule?Former NFL coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the league and three teams, alleging racial discrimination against Black coaches, which the NFL denies. Flores specifically cites the league's Rooney Rule as being a 'well-intentioned failure.' There should be more black head coaches (only 1 now), but the Rooney rule is stupid. Poor Flores has been dragged into interviews from teams that already decided to hire other coaches. Waste of his time. Really, Flores deserved another year with Miami. They had a good 2nd half. The Rooney rule is a stupid racist rule anyway. And saying ownership needs to change is even dumber. Legacy owners aren't giving up a billion dollar team in the most profitable sport because you think they should hire a black guy lmao

How the NFL's Rooney Rule failed minority coachesThe NFL's Rooney Rule requires teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching jobs. But just 3 active head coaches are people of color. And Flores is giving owners every reason to be risk-averse. Nobody cares what color the coach is. All they care about is winning. The coach can be white, black, asian, hispanic, eskimo, a fucking extra-terrestrial… …as long as they take the team to the playoffs every year. 4 would be in line with the census.

Broncos, Giants, Dolphins Respond to Flores LawsuitBrian Flores is suing the NFL and three of its teams, saying racist hiring practices by the league have left it racially segregated and managed like a plantation. The NFL’s response: “We will defend against these claims, which are without merit.' Bruh? Without merit. Josh Mcdaniel just got a job after without an interview. At the very least you guys are oblivious to your bias...at worse your blatantly. Where you fall in the spectrum is irrelevant. Didn’t Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford have a conversation while he was still a member of the Detroit Lions? Would that not be the same thing as meeting with a FA? This suit is going nowhere
