What is the Rooney Rule?Former NFL coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the league and three teams, alleging racial discrimination against Black coaches, which the NFL denies. Flores specifically cites the league's Rooney Rule as being a 'well-intentioned failure.' There should be more black head coaches (only 1 now), but the Rooney rule is stupid. Poor Flores has been dragged into interviews from teams that already decided to hire other coaches. Waste of his time. Really, Flores deserved another year with Miami. They had a good 2nd half. The Rooney rule is a stupid racist rule anyway. And saying ownership needs to change is even dumber. Legacy owners aren't giving up a billion dollar team in the most profitable sport because you think they should hire a black guy lmao
