Olympic Skier Mikaela Shiffrin Was Disappointed in Her Performance. Then NBC Made It Worse.American Alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin was already having a bad Winter Games and then NBC made it worse with their brutal coverage of her performance I also think witnessing the horrific crash of her teammate probably had a huge impact on her as well. I just wanted to reach through my TV and wrap my arms around her during that horrific interview they did with her last night Um… like they should pretend she didn’t sat on snow for a while? Just pan the camera 🎥 the other way 🙄🙄 There was nothing brutal about NBC’s coverage. No one shoved a camera in her face as she recovered. The interview - which she presumably did willingly - was respectful. She’s one of the greatest skiers ever so when she doesn’t perform up to her own high standards it’s newsworthy.
