There is a brief chance of showers and a couple thunderstorms this early Wednesday. The better chance will be to the east of DFW. Any showers that affect DFW will be gone by 9 AM. Skies will clear out with sunshine and a mild west breeze for most of the day. The wind and lower humidity will contribute to a high grass-fire danger to the west of DFW, where a Red Flag Warning will be in effect this afternoon.
Chillier air is set to return Thursday with a high back down into the 50s. Looking ahead to the weekend, a chance of rain is in the forecast for Saturday. Highs will be in the 50s this weekend. While the past few weeks have featured well above-normal temperatures, the pattern looks to change next week. Below-normal temperatures are likely as we approach the end of the month.
