I'm frugal but my wife likes to spend. Do you think it is fair of me to expect that she covers her student-loan payments and also that she cut back on her impulsive spending? The Moneyist responds:

Dear Quentin, I am a 22-year-old trade union member who has worked his way up the ladder to project manager. I went to trade school. My wife has worked as a registered nurse for four years and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through a local college.

I am frugal and save money, where she likes to spend money and feels she should be able to get whatever she wants. I handle all the bills, payments and money as far as balancing the budget, and she spends willfully. She will also soon have to make student-loan payments for her degree, which amounts to 13% of her monthly income. When I bring up her expenses in relation to her income, her response is I should cover more of the expenses.

Dear Harried, Your wife has had four children, and research has shown that every time a woman takes a career break for children she falls further behind on both the pay scale and misses out on career opportunities. It’s no small feat raising four kids, holding down a job and paying bills. Her student loans should be a shared responsibility.

“This is an opportunity for you to press reset, and have a conversation about wants, needs, and personal responsibility.”

FDA vaccine advisers vote to recommend booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine in people 65 and older and those at high riskVaccine advisers to the US Food and Drug Administration on Friday rejected Pfizer's application to add a booster dose of its coronavirus vaccine to the two-dose regimen, but were preparing to vote on a narrower approval -- perhaps for booster doses for people 60 or 65 or older, or for people at high risk of exposure at work. Members of the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee rejected a broader application to approve the use of booster doses of Pfizer's vaccines in everyone 16 and older six months after they are fully vaccinated. Man first I missed those military shares at the start of Afghanistan, now wishing I had invested in Big Pharma at the start of this circus. Everyday vaccine everyday vaccine. FDA Advisory Panel Endorses Covid-19 Boosters for People 65-Plus or at High Risk of Severe IllnessThe Food and Drug Administration advisory panel endorsed Covid-19 boosters for people 65-plus or at high risk, after voting not to recommend approval for everyone 16 and older. I have to ask: what happens when you turn 65? Poll to include at risk healthcare workers in EUA is confusing to me. Does this mean they're going to vote again on revised question? If so, when? Thanks fda, the rest of the world can now get access to their first dose of pfizer vaccine
