Most Americans aren’t comfortable attending in-person sporting events, a new poll found

the MLB spring training baseball game between the Kansas City Royals and Arizona Diamondbacks at Surprise Stadium on March 25, 2021 in Surprise, Arizona. 42% of U.S. adults said they’d feel comfortable attending a ticketed sporting event, while 40% said they were uncomfortable and 16% said they weren’t sure.

Americans were more comfortable with the idea of returning to a stadium if the game was outdoors: 66% said they’d be comfortable going to an outdoor baseball game, and just 32% said they’d be comfortable going to an indoor game like basketball. Despite more Americans getting vaccinated, 60% of U.S. adults remain worried that they or someone in their immediate family will become infected with Covid-19.

The best poll would be to open up again and see who turns up to the events, rather than not letting fans attend and then telling us the results of a poll
