In the suit, the 52 former McDonald's franchisees – who, collectively, operated more than 200 stores between 1988 and 2018 – charge that the company steered them to operate restaurants in 'economically depressed' communities and 'dangerous locations.'

Because of their race, the plaintiffs allege, Black franchisees were given locations with higher security costs, excluded from purchasing stores on the open market, given misleading financial data, denied financial support given to white franchisees, and, eventually, given bad reviews as part of a"scheme" to force them out of the McDonald's system.

McDonald's"just gave them crappy franchises with little likelihood of long-term survival and a lot of the franchises they were awarded McDonald’s just has closed," he told USA TODAY."They weren’t there to support them to do any of the things they said … they were going to do.." Over time, McDonald’s reduced the number of Black franchisees in the U.S. from 377 in 1998 to 186 today, the filing says. At the same time, the number of stores globally has grown from 15,086 to 36,059.

Yep they want jobs in these sections of cities but blacks do not want to be the ones providing those entry level jobs. Hard for black kid who does not work out to say it is racist to fire him 🤔

Blacks to black communities whites to white communities... etc. this is an unspoken rule in franchising, the idea is that franchisees are more profitable and more successful if patrons are being served by the same race doing the serving...

Figured. Their excuse for what they consider food isn’t worth a penny. They already extort their customers. Of course they’ll do the same to the franchise owners
