Don't give birth. Simple

Oh man. The American healthcare system is truly insane.

Glad that I chose to remain childfree. Yikes!

1 kid, 4 days stay, private room. $0.00 I seriously do not know how Americans can do it and why you think your healthcare system is better than ours in 🇨🇦

ewarren

I pay $1200 out of my paycheck every month for insurance through my employer who then pays $1500 of their portion. I still paid over $7,000 for both of my deliveries.

32 years ago I didn’t have health insurance, had a high risk pregnancy (I had lost 2 babies before this one), and used my friend’s cash bill from the hospital to gather all the stuff they would charge me for. They had a fit, and as soon as my baby was born, checked me out NOW!!

Serious question now from who lives in a country where health is free and for all: how the hell do american poor and middle class families pay for that? Do they have their children at home? That's also a question for when they get sick or hurt. What do you do for godsake Die?

Why does this article have to come out right before I give birth 😐

🥺These numbers are worse than I thought. I have been saving since I got married. I am not sure if it will ever be enough.

WOW.

The annoying part was that the mom is billed, even after the baby is born, all of the babies medical bills are sent to the moms and never the dads

Wow I had a c section and mine was $38,000 thank god I have Tri-Care for being in the military 🙏😭 still owed a couple thousand

Wow it was only 20k in 2007

Two kids, including one c-section= $0.00. Thankfully live in Canada.

New dad here. Total out of pocket was $4100. I pay $360 in monthly premiums through my employer based plan. This is not the answer.
