HOWELL, Mich. – More than a year after Amy Marchant was confronted by a staff member at The Naz – Brighton Nazarene Church andThe church issued an apology last year, an apology Marchant claimed was defamatory, invaded her privacy, violated the Breastfeeding Anti-Discrimination Act and committed a breach of contract.
Marchant and her family"felt compelled to leave the Church as a result to avoid future embarrassment and shame," according to the lawsuit.Marchant did not say how much she received as part of the settlement but said it was less than $25,000. The settlement calls for the money to be donated to two breastfeeding organizations, Livingston County Birth Circle and Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor.
"Both breasts were totally exposed. … From their perspective, it’s natural, we know, but we felt it inappropriate for boys and men, and we weren’t trying to shame, we were trying to deal with others who were uncomfortable and how they felt. Hurt, embarrassment and shame was not intended," Walls said last year.

I once flew back from LAX to Charlotte sitting next to a young woman and her child. She breast feed her child several times during the trip while sitting next to me and I never once had to control my urges. It doesn't take a genius to know breast feeding isn't about sex.

The worship area, that sounds like a great spot in church to slip out a breast. Sexualized, or not sexualized, if youre going to expose any part of your body that under any other circumstances would possibly be considered inappropriate, you probably should at least check w/pastor
Some of these comments are exactly why this incident happen in the first place. And to think other women would vilify this woman is even more appalling.
Sorry but I don't think she should have been doing it. I am fed up with these women who think it's ok to do it anywhere in public and I most certainly would not want to encounter it at church. Have some respect for others around you.
It's a lot of immature men in the world🤷🏿!! I seen a lot of churches, if able to afford it, invest in a nursing/family room with a tv monitor to watch worship service for situations like this.
I know it is feeding and I had my children breast fed as well .. but I took it in consideration of someone didn't want it around ... it shouldn't be a big deal to ask the women to take it elsewhere or stop fussing when people want to get away..
The men need to control themselves. Why blame women for their weakness.

I guess I’m old school. I never forced it on anyone just in case it made them uncomfortable. I always tried to go somewhere private as it was a special/quiet time I enjoyed (usually 😉) or I turned away and used a shawl. Mostly the former. Some women like to “display”. Nope.
I am in favor of women dressing modestly especially in church but I am also in favor of pro child policies. This is a tough one.

So how did she make her husband lust and stumble before? Her first kid had to come from something that wasn't breastfeeding and I doubt she did THAT in church.
