Federal prosecutors later charged him with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. “Not just one, but several of Anthony’s friends and family members have been gunned down without cause,” he wrote. “The letters ‘RIP’ are etched into his skin, a constant reminder of the loss around him. … But Anthony cannot take the same steps for protection as his neighbors do, and it is difficult for Anthony to feel safe and as a convicted felon.”
