Classic ranch dressing gets perked up with a big dollop of white miso.

Wonderful dressing. Pretty quick to put together and the miso added a nice bit of umami. I used brown rice miso and apple cider vinegar, since those were what I had, and they worked fine.Great recipe. I've lately seen two other salad dressing recipes somewhere, I'm not sure where. A spicy cashew dressing made with ground nuts and a turmeric miso dressing. I think we've reached a point where store bought dressings in glass bottles just don't cut it anymore.

Hey, I can do this! I would love to see a good compilation of new and classic homemade dressings, uncooked sauces, and their applications in example recipes. Eating high fiber healthy food can seem like a lot of work and chewing. These wonderful dressings can inject great interest, bring multiple ingredients together to make a more harmonious whole. Otherwise, Life can seem like a lot of chewing and elimination. Too many grains and beans can make you mean.

One-Skillet Chicken With Strawberry-Balsamic Sauce Recipe on Food52Whenever summer rolls around, all I can think about is eating fresh fruit. It’s the best time to enjoy berries—especially some ripe, sweet-tart strawberries. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved eating strawberries drizzled with balsamic vinegar and lemon zest, so it only made sense to try these ingredients in one of my warm-weather go-tos: skillet chicken. This one-skillet strawberry and balsamic chicken dish is just the thing to make when you’re short on time, but want maximum flavor. First, you’ll sear the chicken breasts (I used PERDUE® HARVESTLAND® Free Range Chicken, a kitchen staple) in the skillet to create a fond, aka those browned bits that stick to the bottom of the pan. Then, you'll add the shallots to pick up all that delicious flavor. The strawberries and honey will add a nice level of sweetness to the dish, while the lemons and balsamic vinegar balance things out with acidity. To keep everything feeling bright and fresh, I’ll add some basil leaves on top for garnish, along with crumbled goat cheese and crunchy, salted pistachios. However, if you’re not a big fan of either the basil or the goat cheese, feel free to swap them out with fresh mint or ricotta cheese. ♥️♥️♥️♥️✔️ Wow this sounds berry good Food52! Super cool 👍

Spicy Tequila-Lime Chicken Wings Recipe on Food52My family is obsessed with chicken wings. We love to smoke them, bake them, air-fry them, deep-fry them—the list goes on. One typical go-to recipe features a generous amount of bourbon, agave, and hot sauce for wings that are magically sticky and sweet. Recently, however, my parents were out of bourbon and decided to add a splash (or two) of reposado tequila in their wings marinade instead—the result was, unsurprisingly, delicious. The lime enhances the crisp flavor of the tequila in the recipe, while the spicy Thai chilies and agave add balancing heat and sweetness. For the crispiest oven-baked wings, I roast them on a wire rack set on top of an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. To go alongside your platter of wings, I’ve included a super easy recipe for Buffalo-roasted nuts—ready for all your summer barbecues and beyond.

Lady & Pups's Magic 15-Second Creamy Scrambled Eggs Recipe on Food52'A thickening agent is the answer to the previously-thought-impossible scrambled eggs fantasy,' Mandy Lee, the author behind the blog Lady and Pups writes. 'Speed, and creaminess, all together.' You'll notice that this calls for a lot of butter, so just to be safe I tried the recipe both with and without the cornstarch, to see how much was really just the goodness of the butter. Without cornstarch, the eggs were good but tougher, the butter more free-floating. And I've found that even if you skimp on the butter, the cornstarch has dramatic effects. Adapted slightly from Lady and Pups. I would like to know the brand of the pan they used to cook the eggs in. Please and Thank you.

Roasted Potato Salad With Mustard-Walnut Vinaigrette Recipe on Food52In my take on potato salad, mini spuds are roasted at high heat, then tossed in a pleasantly bracing mustard and walnut oil vinaigrette. Filled with plenty of toasted walnuts, fresh basil, and sliced scallions, this potato salad is best eaten at room temperature. I recommend gently smashing some of the potatoes to break their skins—this allows the vinaigrette to better penetrate the starchy goodness.
