Abel Barrios-Estava and Rafael Mata-Torres, both of Venezuela currently staying in Chicago, have been charged with one count of burglary and one count of retail theft.police officers responded to Macy's, located at 1 Oakbrook Center, regarding a retail theft in process, prosecutors said.
As loss prevention authorities took Barrios-Estave into custody, he allegedly broke away and fled on foot across 22nd Street. Following a brief foot pursuit, officers were able to take him into custody without further incident, prosecutors said.
