Oak Brook Golf Club Pro Shop investigation of inventory inconsistencies leads Village officials to make significant changes

Village officials have made some, and are planning other, significant changes with the Oak Brook Golf Club Pro Shop, following an investigation into discrepancies found recently with inventory there. As part of the accountability program established by the current Village Board, village staff conducted a planned and physical inventory of the golf pro shop merchandise on Aug. 14.

“Every employee of the village, including those at the golf club, are expected to be accountable, ethical, and transparent in the performance of their duties,” Summers said. Village President Larry Herman said when he ran in April for Village President, he promised the community greater accountability and transparency. “For too long, business as usual allowed deficit spending throughout the Sports Core,” he said.
