Megatron has yet to make his first full appearance in Skybound's new Energon continuity, but perhaps he hasn't been completely absent.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT As Skybound Entertainment's Energon Universe has begun to develop the shared continuity tying together Transformers and G.I. Joe, fans have been puzzled by the curious absence of one major villain.

Looking at the cover, the Transformers' Ark ship appears in the background, but there is possibly an even bigger Easter Egg included. When looking closely at the weapon Cobra Commander is holding, it closely resembles Megatron’s infamous gun mode.
