The Bexar County Medical Examiner ’s Office ruled Savannah Kriger ’s cause of death as a suicide. Kriger, 32, died from a gunshot wound to the head. The ruling comes six weeks after authorities found her body alongside her son, Kaiden Kriger , 3, on March 19 at a park on the city’s West Side . The ME said Kaiden Kriger died from a gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a homicide. Sheriff Javier Salazar said a gun was found nearby.
Family holds vigil for Savannah Kriger and her 3-year-old son Kriger filed for divorce on March 7 and applied for a protective order against her husband on March 15. In the application, she alleged a history of sexual and physical violence dating back to 2020. She also stated she feared he would kill her and take their son. She received a temporary restraining order on March 7 requiring Kaiden to be removed from his father’s custody.
