McDonald's is prepping to open it's spin-off concept CosMc's in North Texas.

Signage for McDonald's spin-off concept CosMc's appears to to have gone up at a drive-through site at the corner of Preston and Campbell Roads in North Dallas.At the corner of Preston and Campbell Roads in North Dallas, a small, standalone building that once housed a Bahama Bucks was recently given a coat of deep blue paint and marked with neon yellow signage.

No, it isn’t a tiny IKEA — it appears to be one of the first locations of McDonald’s new spin-off concept called CosMc’s.last December when it opened the first CosMc’s in Bolingbrook, Ill. The company said it would open nine additional pilot locations between Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio but didn’t give any details about where or when.

McDonald's launched a new beverage-centric concept called CosMc's. The first location opened Dec. 8, 2023 in Bolingbrook, IL with more locations coming to North Texas and San Antonio in 2024.The North Dallas location is still being kept under wraps, literally and figuratively. Blue tarps cover the signage on the building, and representatives for the company did not respond to requests for comment in January or March about the location and its opening date.

But CosMc’s impending entry into North Texas isn’t much of a secret anymore. Stand outside the construction fencing around the North Dallas site and wait for a breeze to catch the tarps, revealing the CosMc’s name on the side of the building next to a set of the signature golden arches.It appears Allen and Fort Worth are up next.

Some food items on CosMc’s menu echo the regular McDonald’s menu, like the Egg McMuffin and the M&M McFlurry, but others, like the Spicy Queso Sandwich, are new., Staff Reporter.
