A bullet went through Johnnie “Franko” Robinson’s side at the May Day event in Stockton when gunfire erupted.Family members identified two of the victims killed as 24-year-old Christian Bradley and 37-year-old Chiquita Ewing.After being released from the hospital, Robinson is recalling the traumatic moment he got caught in the chaos.

“It’s traumatizing. It’s really traumatizing because it went from a good time, people talking, glad to see each other...to a nightmare,” Robinson said.“I had some angels. I know God was looking out for me,” Robinson said emotionally. “God was looking out for not just me it was some more other people but also he spared me....he spared me.”Franko says the evening started out fine until he heard a round of gunfire.

“The next thing you know out of nowhere it was just, it was gunshots. I could tell a gunshot it was a rapid, and I went down,” he said. “I felt like somebody bumped into me but I went down.”“I stuck my hand back behind my back. I looked at my hand and I had a handful of blood. I seen a friend of mine Mike and I said Mike man I’m hit, I’m hit,” Robinson said. “He said man come on Frank jump in the car and he took me to North Baldwin.”As victim after victim continued to fill up the hospital.
