Massive Bremerton area beach fire destroys two homes, garage in hours-long battle

“Before we were able to get water on the fire, it spread into some other structures,” Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue Capt. Steven Davison explained. “It looked like it was a one-story house that was fully engulfed, and I could see it collapse,” neighbor Greg Jacobs stated. He captured the billowing smoke and flames from three miles away across the Dyes Inlet. “And, the house to the west of it was the location where the fire trucks staged, and they were shooting water from there.”
