On 2/26/19 at 7:07 AMMankind is so quick to normalize extreme weather in the face of climate change we have become like the proverbial frog slowly boiling alive in a pot of water, scientists have warned.
Researchers at the University of California, Davis, have now found people appear to have very short memories in terms of what they consider “normal” weather, with events they once perceived as remarkable and out of the ordinary becoming old news in the space of just two to eight years., the team looked at over two billion posts shared on Twitter relating to the weather.
The scientists, led by Frances C Moore from the university’s Department of Environmental Science and Policy, say unusual weather compared to pre-industrial conditions “constitute direct evidence of anthropogenic climate change.” However, as unusual weather becomes normal, people are no longer able to recognize it as a symptom of climate change.
The tweets were generated between March 2014 and November 2016. During this time, the U.S. saw polar vortexes, a catastrophic hurricane season and one of the worst droughts on record.

So just what was the exact date the Earth stopped evolving and was replaced by Climate Change.
Using a fable doesn’t serve the purpose, in fact that fake experiment could be used as an example of the truth being different from popular belief.
If climate change were Liberals then yes this is an accurate depiction. I'm glad I'm not a frog.
While albeit a bit dramatic, the sentiment is correct.
