Well the climate always changes last I checked.

The only realistic hope for your species is to accelerate all efforts to become interstellar, so you can search and populate other more habitable planets. Earth is due for anther mass extinction event within the next 1000 years.

Well if the folks who are educated on this and believe it to be so and convince this man of some or all of it, then the president will get the benefit of those arguments. Perhaps instead of making his daughter into a villain, the media would be shocked by what she could do on it!

The only intellectually honest and apolitical way to deal with the effects of Climate Change, by at least reversing the anthropogenic factors, would be to CEASE all industry IMMEDIATELY, which at best might delay extinction events by less than a few hundred years. Nature is King!

Well, the truth is kinda buried in between those arguments. Climate Change is NATURAL. Much of your planet’s history is punctuated with major extinction events related to Climate Change, way before your species even arrived on the scene! You’re only CATALYZING what’s INEVITABLE!
