The driver fled the scene and if caught will be charged with failure to stop and render aid, police said. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 700 block of South East Loop 410, where there are no sidewalks and minimal lighting, police said. The injured man, 26, was taken by EMS to Brooke Army Medical Center. At last check, he was in critical but stable condition.
