They were Macron’s first comments on the matter after the U.S. formally started the withdrawal process from the climate change pact on Tuesday, two years after the Trump administration announced it would pull out of the deal. The U.S. will be the only country in the world that won't be a party to the Paris pact, which calls on nations to set individual targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
No crap because the pledges are absurd. China plans to stop INCREASING their emissions by 2030? India has no plans to cull emissions at all? Allowing the two largest contributors of greenhouse emissions to go unchecked doesn't fit that timeline of 'we've only got 12 yrs left'
It's more than just marginal, however China is allowed to pollute at high levels.
Gotta love Macron.
Its not marginal. The US is a major, significant polluter. Remaining in the agreement means we are taking the crisis seriously.
