A Lowndes County woman continues to hope for the safe return of a son — who went missing in Montgomery — nearly 20 years ago.

It’s a missing persons cold case — with an investigation between two counties — spanning nearly two decades. Sixty-five year old Rosie Harris of Collerine — is a mother hoping against the odds — that she’ll see her son Ronnie — once again.“My baby somewhere out there.” The 29 year old disappeared — back in 2006. Harris says he got a phone call — then left home and went to Montgomery. And she hasn’t seen — or heard from him since.Statistically in missing persons cases — the longer someone has been missing — the odds of finding them alive — diminishes — each year. But Harris continues to hold out hope — for her son’s safe return — 18 years later.

“I hoping that he’s found safely and he’s alive. I haven’t heard no one say they found the body or nothing like that. You know I got hope that he’s somewhere,” said Harris.Anyone with information about this case — call the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office — at 334-548-6151.
